My name is Andrew Briscoe, and I'm a freelance photographer based in Melbourne, Australia. I have a passion for live music, and I've endured countless boots to the head from crowdsurfers, hours in the sun, soakings from all manner of fluids and quite possibly even a blown kiss from Tim Rogers in the pursuit of getting that shot.
Video and audio recordings for me never capture a gig - only your memory can do that. Photos though bring those memories back to life and you replay what you remember.
And those memories are always in full HD with surround sound.
Melbourne is a city with a great live music scene and always a great crowd atmosphere which the artists seem to love - it makes working here a joy. I've had photos published in the NME, The Guardian (UK) and in the book U2: A Diary, published by Omnibus Press. I'm also a regular contributer for Tone Deaf and Faster Louder - online music communities. If you'd like me to have a crack at photographing your band, an artist you manage, or just a gig you'd like captured, please drop me a line via the contact link.
