About to embark on a tour up north, 6 piece Melbourne lineup GoodbyeMotel were in fine form at the John Curtin Bandroom on Saturday night.

Looks like really big things ahead for these lads, with a stint in the US touring and recording coming up. Already they’ve seen their tunes used commercially in the American Series Gossip Girl as well as in the local Australian movie Summer Coda.

With a huge sound that you’d expect from a 6 piece, the vocals of Mark Ipaviz always carry through. What’s more these guys enjoy playing on stage.

There’s great interraction tonight between bandmates, and this creates a great visual side to the gig, complementing the tunes beautifully. (more…)
