[ME] are a band from Melbourne who, having just signed to the UK Record Label Lizard King Records, look to have a big future ahead of them. With a sound that draws on 70s harmonies (think Queen) and the newer breed of Queen-Lite (think Muse), these 4 guys created an amazing atmosphere in Fitzroy at the Workers Club on a Wednesday night.

About to take a short break from their own live shows (after squeezing in some support slots for Dead Letter Circus) to record their first album, this was a ‘last show for now’ of sorts, and it left a full house demanding an encore.

Which thankfully the lads duly delivered.

At times joined on stage by violinist Jon Dreyfuss and a 4 piece brass section, they made the already small Workers Club stage seem just-that-bit-smaller.

You can hear their latest single at their website: meband.com. Keep an eye out for the album, and please visit FasterLouder for a review of the gig and another gallery of shots.
