With Sydney in lockdown on the 15th December, due to some nutjob in a chocolate shop, British music legend Damon Albarn, and band The Heavy Seas were faced with a dilemma: cancel the show on the 15th altogether, reschedule, or just play 2 shows back to back at one of the world’s most iconic venues, the Sydney Opera House. Settling on the final option – and with help from some friends in Remi and De La Soul – Albarn and The Heavy Seas closed out their entire 2014 Everyday Robots tour in spectacular style. One of the shows of the year even included – if not a promise – a strong indication that Albarn would return to Australia in 2015. In what capacity? Fingers were crossed that he’d bring 3 guys along with him called Graham, Alex and Dave. Time will tell.
