Best Gigs of 2013

Last year, it was 5 bad and 5 good. 2013 though has been a damn fine year for live music, so rather than pick out the bad ones… here’s 10 of the good.

Manic Street Preachers (Wales)

The final match in the British and Irish Lions tour was preceded by the final show in the Manic Street Preachers‘ own tour, as the lads took to the stage at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion on the eve of the 3rd Test. 

Manic Street Preachers @ Federation Square

“Well this didn’t suck as much as I thought it would”. A high spirited James Dean Bradfield closed out the mid-afternoon in glorious winter Melbourne sunshine. Playing 5 songs in their acoustic form for a crowd dressed predominantly in red, the Welsh lads had a cracking time at Melbourne’s Federation Square.
